Herbal Tea
AMRIT FROM THE HIMALAYA
This
is not a 'once upon a time' story. The events took place
recently.
A
Sanyasi came down from the Himalayas and set himself up in
Kathmandu. People flocked around him. His following grew
day by day. Amongst those who visited the Sanyasi
regularly was Mr. Ashwini Agrawal – the MD of Shakun Tea
Industries. First, the Sanyasi gave him an occasional
glance but after a month called him to his side.
"What
do you do? " he enquired.
"I
run a tea business, sir, " replied Mr. Agrawal.
"Do
you know about flower and fruit?"
"
I am a nature lover. I enjoy fruit and flower; equally, I
relish tea."
"Then,
you shall be very successful in your business."
The
Sanyasi gave Mr. Agrawal a formulation. A beverage with a
green tea base blended with twenty herbs.
"Taste
the liquor," invited the sanyasi and poured out a
tumbler full for Mr. Agrawal.
"It
is delicious; delicious indeed," exclaimed Mr.
Agrawal.
"It
is a health drink my son. Tasty too as you have just
confirmed."
"It
is good, very good indeed."
"Tea
has many curative properties."
"Yes,
Sir."
"Two
cups a day and you are healthy."
"Like
and apple a day, keeps the Doctor away."
"Yes,
this formula is anti-stress, anti-ageing and keeps you
fit."
"Isn't
tea good for your heart?"
"Yes,
it is. It is also good for all stomach ailments."
"I
see."
"It
is a tonic. Regular drinking will keep your stomach clean.
It will not allow any stone formation."
"I
will collect the herbs, blend them with tea and come back
to you."
Mr.
Agrawal got busy to create perfection in the blend. After
a month he took the magic potion with him to his Guru. But
there was no one there.
The
Sanyasi had left; gone forever.
Mr.
Agrawal was naturally disappointed but he started work on
his blending factory in right earnest.
